Mark Bowker

Mark Bowker joined ESG in 2006 and currently champions ESG’s Data Center Transformation practice, focusing on all things virtualization and cloud computing. In his current role, Mark researches the various virtualization technologies available and the impact these solutions have on IT strategies and the broader marketplace. His other research areas include cloud computing, data center management, and application workload deployment in next generation data centers, as well as the external influences that drive the adoption of these technologies.
Prior to ESG, Mark ran the IT organization for a business consulting and technology services company and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He has experience in designing, implementing, and expanding network and system infrastructure for global organizations.
Mark holds a BS in Management Information Systems from American International College and a continuing education certificate from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in UNIX administration and C++ programming. He is also a private pilot. You can usually find him flying around the skies of New England on the weekends.
John Carione

John Carione is responsible for customer and market requirements for Adobe's Enterprise security and mobile offerings. Prior to Adobe, John worked at both EMC Corporation and RSA Security holding various roles in Corporate Development and Marketing. He holds an Engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
John D. Conley

John D. Conley was selected by the Statewide Internet Portal Authority’s (SIPA) Board of Directors as the Executive Director of SIPA in July 2009. John is responsible for the daily management and operation of SIPA and is tasked with leading the strategic efforts of the organization. SIPA is responsible for delivering eGovernment applications to citizens throughout the State of Colorado. Prior to this position, John was the Deputy State Chief Information Officer for Colorado where he was responsible for policy, project governance, and operations. During his tenure in this position he worked with the Colorado General Assembly and the Governor’s Office to pass legislation that centralized all IT functions across the executive branch into the Governor’s Office of Information Technology thereby transforming the service delivery model. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Denver.
