Kapil Bakshi is the Chief Solutions Architect for Cisco Federal’s Data Center Practice. Kapil is responsible for leading and driving Data Center and Cloud Computing initiatives in Cisco Federal. Kapil has extensive experience in strategizing, architecting, managing and delivering Data Center solutions to US Federal Agencies and Enterprise customers. During his career, he has held several architectural, consulting and managerial positions within the industry. Prior to Cisco, Kapil worked for Sun Microsystems, where he spent a decade working with US Government and Service Provider industry. Prior to SUN, he worked for Hewlett-Packard and several government system integrators in consulting and product development roles. Kapil is native of Washington DC area, and holds both BS in Electrical Engineering and BS in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park. MS in Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from University of Maryland, College Park. He also holds a U.S. patent (6373932) for a Service Provider Data Warehouse Solution.
Russ Fromkin

Russ joined Intel Corporation in 1999 as part of an acquisition of Dialogic Corporation. Currently Russ works with Federal customers and Government Primes to implement cutting edge technology developed by Intel Corporation. Russ also leads Information Assurance, HPC and Cloud Computing activities for the Intel Federal team. Prior to the acquisition, Russ developed and managed the ISV program for Dialogic.
Tim Harder

Tim Harder joined EMC ten years ago as the Global Principal Architect for Network Attached Storage. Initial responsibilities included analysis of the emerging opportunity, education for EMC teams and extensive partner training. During his tenure with EMC, Tim has enjoyed a wide range of individual contributor and senior leadership roles. He has led material size campaigns for EMC in more than 30 different countries. His core technical competencies in high performance compute and multi-protocol file systems have provided an opportunity to work with most of the firms listed on Forbes Global 2000 and nearly every Fortune 500 firm. Tim has been a featured lecturer at the PDVSA-EPM Forum, Network Storage Road Show, PM-NSC, and at highly visible organizations in the Oil/Gas + Government Community. Tim has been awarded the EMC Rockstar of the Year, Platinum Player and Club 101 designations. Prior to joining EMC, Mr. Harder held the position of Managing Consultant for a sizeable PC manufacturer where he was responsible for the build-out and daily operations of the Professional Services line of business. Previous experience includes Analyst and IT Director positions in the field of RFID. Tim’s undergraduate degree work in Economics was at Harvard; he additionally holds advanced certificates in foreign language. Tim currently is leading the business development efforts for EMC Cloud Computing in the national public sector.
Alex Hart

Alex Hart, VMware’s Director of Public Sector Channel Sales, brings more than 20 years of experience VMware’s Channel Sales organization. In this role, Alex is responsible for VMware’s Federal channel strategies, programs and partner ecosystem. His team provides specialized sales and operational support to distribution, OEM, Solution Provider, and System Integration partners who focus their sales efforts in the U.S. Federal segment.
Alex is a frequent speaker at industry events on the state of the reseller channel and trends in Information Technology sales to government and education buyers. In addition to several industry accolades, Alex was selected as GovernmentVAR/VARBusiness 2005 Government Channel Executive of the year. His background includes senior channel and sales leadership roles with industry leaders such as Symantec and Avnet, in addition to eight years in the financial services industry as a successful investment consultant for major NYSE member firms. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Business Information Systems from Old Dominion University.
Carmen Iannacone

Carmen Iannacone is the Chief Technology Officer for the Smithsonian Institution. He is responsible for evaluating and implementing new technologies for use in the Smithsonian IT infrastructure, and for optimizing performance of its IT operations. The Institution’s nineteen museums and research stations provide a diverse technology climate, and his role is an integral liaison between centralized IT and the public. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, Mr. Iannacone served as director of worldwide IT operations for the Federal Acquisition Service of the General Services Administration (GSA), and was partner a software development consultancy in Alexandria, VA. He holds several patents for software and lives in Sterling, VA.

Francie Kress is a vSpecialist supporting the Federal VCE Coaliton and EMCs Federal Division. Francie has 20+ years experience in the Federal technology sales. During her tenure at EMC, she has developed and lead technology alliances by working with various civilian and DOD agencies, along with partnering with strategic technology partners in the federal space. During her career, she has worked in the system engineering roles, product management and sales.
Don Poorman

Don joined the EMC VCE Affinity Team in mid 2009 from his role as a TC in the Fisher Enterprise Sales district in McLean, VA. He is a long time veteran of working with VMWare; having been a managing partner with a Columbia, MD-based VAC from 2002 – 2006 before joining EMC in 2008. His prior experiences with the platform include participating in multiple VMWare ESX infrastructure rollouts, to include MBNA Bank’s transition to the platform in 2004. His certifications include EMC Proven Professional, VCP, and ITIL v3.
Barry Sheward

Barry Sheward is responsible for executing technology strategies for Lockheed Martin Customers in specialized areas to include cloud computing and cyber security at the NexGen Cyber innovation and Technology Center. Sheward has led development and innovation teams for more than 15 years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brunel University in London. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Assurance.
Annie Williams

Annie Williams joined Terremark's Federal Group in the summer of 2008 after spending nearly eleven years at Cisco Systems. During her tenure at Cisco, she was an individual contributor on the federal sales team responsible for The Federal Reserve System and The ExecutiveOffice of the President. She later moved into Strategic Account Management leading Cisco's capture effort in support of several key strategic initiatives, and was instrumental in the creation of a formal Business Development program. Prior to Cisco, Annie worked for EMC Federal, 3Comm Federal and Digital Equipment Corp. With over twenty seven years of sales achievement, the majority of Annie's experience has been in the federal market where she has cultivated an extensive network of past performance and committed
professional relationships.
In her executive capacity at Terremark, Annie was responsible for establishing Terremark's Civilian practice including the creation of a sales team and developing the partner strategy as well as active participation in driving Terremark's overall federal business plan for the expansion of the National Capital Region, NCR, and for federalizing the full suite of hosting, datacenter and proserve product sets. She now
leads the entire federal sales team including DOD and Intel.
Annie received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Marketing from Northwestern University and has various Cisco sales certifications. Annie is an active member of ACT/lAC and has held various positions on the ELC Planning Committee as well as having participated in the ACT/lAC Partners Program Class of 2006. Annie lives on a working farm in Culpeper County, Virginia and is active on several local community Boards and Foundations.
