The Administration's directive for an open, collaborative and transparent government applies to DoD just as much as to the rest of government, but it also presents much greater challenges. How do we deal with social media in the services when we are fighting a war? How can we make it secure in the time of massive hacking from abroad? Can we allow tweets from the troops without endangering their positions? How can we put Web 2.0 to work in our favor? In this session, these and many other challenges will be discussed through case studies and presentations from DoD practitioners who have been operating in that environment.
