Intelink is a group of secure intranets used by the United States Intelligence Community. It includes the well publicized Intellipedia, which was presented at this conference several years ago. The Intelink suite of tools helps members of the U.S. government, contractors, and sponsored academics connect and share insights in ways that surpass classic intelligence tradecraft. And it does so in an environment that resembles a private cloud. The panel will discuss how Intelink has been used for: collaborative policy development; the drafting of program objectives in a collaborative environment; and enhanced situational awareness, to include the responses to the Haiti earthquake and D.C snow closings.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

 > How Intelink currently improves the productivity and effectiveness of the USG
 > How Intelink can grow as a platform for open-government innovation and knowledge management beyond the intelligence Community
 > How Intelink’s security framework by protects the highly sensitive intelligence data
 > How a publicly available commercial platform enables collaboration
 >
How security can be achieved in a public cloud
