Bob Gourley

Bob Gourley is the editor of CTOvision.com and is the founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Crucial Point LLC, a technology research and advisory firm. Bob’s first career was as a naval intelligence officer, which included operational tours afloat and ashore. Bob was the first J2 at DoD’s cyber defense organization JTF-CND. Following retirement from the Navy Bob was a senior executive with TRW and Northrop Grumman, and then returned to government service as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Bob was named one of the top 25 most influential CTOs in the globe by Infoworld in 2007, and selected for AFCEAs award for meritorious service to the intelligence community in 2008. He was named by Washingtonian as one of DC’s “Tech Titans” in 2009. Bob was named one of the “Top 25 Most Fascinating Communicators in Government IT” by the Gov2.0 community GovFresh. Bob holds three masters degrees including a master of science degree in scientific and technical intelligence from Naval Postgraduate School, a master of science degree in military science from USMC university, and a master of science degree in computer science from James Madison University. Bob has published over 40 articles on a wide range of topics and is a contributor to the 20 Jan 2009 Book titled “Threats in the Age of Obama”

Jon Oltsik

Jon Oltsik is a principal analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group as well as the founder of its Information Security and Networking services. Oltsik is widely recognized as an expert in security management and technology as well as identity and access management. Most recently, Oltsik has focused on Information Technology and Cybersecurity in the U.S. Federal Government. Oltsik has been in the technology industry for well over 20 years. Prior to joining ESG, Oltsik was the founder and principal of Hype-Free Consulting. Mr. Oltsik has also held senior positions at GiantLoop Network, Forrester Research, and EMC Corporation, and Epoch Systems. Mr. Oltsik has an MBA and a BA degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Francis Trentley

Senior Service Line Director - Public Sector

Fran Trentley joined Akamai in 2006 and is the Senior Service Line Director for Akamai’s Public Sector business. As Sr. Service Line Director, he is responsible for overseeing Akamai's managed services offerings including In the Cloud (ITC) Security Services for the U.S Government. He currently supports over a hundred US Government organizations with Internet based services as well as managing Akamai instantiations and services on both DoD’s NIPRnet and SIPRnet. Fran Trentley is a distinguished combat veteran with over 20 years of military experience. With both a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science Degree in Computer Science, he has had assignments integrating intelligence support systems at the Defense Intelligence Agency, C4ISR systems for U.S. Army and most recently converged VIP communications at the White House Communications Agency (WHCA). Serving as WHCA’s Chief Information Officer Fran was responsible for the most comprehensive communications modernization effort in the Agency’s history and is a WHCA Hall of Fame inductee.

This session will investigate some of the specific cloud computing security risks and how government organizations (NIST), industry organizations (Cloud Security Alliance), and security vendors plan to address them.
