To move to truly sustainable practices, every stage of the IT lifecycle has to be viewed through a green lens. Purchases cannot be made, nor can old equipment be retired, in isolation. Green IT requires a comprehensive strategic plan for every machine and every server, from procuring new assets to recycling those that have outlived their utility. This session will help purchased and managers consider:

  • Which standards to rely on to ensure your procurement process and your new equipment are as green as possible
  • Best practices for using IT assets efficiently
  • Proper recycling procedures
